Crestmont Homeowners Association Adopt a Family

The Crestmont HOA wants your help! We are organizing a donation drop off to assist NECAAFS with their Annual Adopt-a-Family program in our city. Currently, we are registered to donate Christmas hampers for 1 large family. Once our community is matched with a family, we will be provided more information on what the family is in need of. NECAAFS are run by volunteers. All families are referred to them by community resource workers. Families are interviewed to determine need. Families can't self-refer. All gifts must be wrapped and labeled. If our family has requested winter clothing items, the community resource workers have ensured that the family can get by until Christmas with what they have. We cannot make arrangements to have winter clothing delivered early.

North East Community Adopt a Family Society is run by volunteers. The program provides personalized hampers for low income families at Christmas and other holiday occasions throughout the year. Donors are recruited and matched to the recipients. Donors may consist of companies, organizations, community associations, individuals and families. Minimum requirements for a hamper should include a week’s supply of food, fixings for festive meal and one gift for each child and youth. The donor receives a profile of the family needs and first names, ages, sizes of each member of the family and a wish list. A guideline cost of a complete hamper which includes gifts and food for a family of 4 or 5 is approximately $400.00 to $500.00.For more information, please visit This year, the hamper program wraps up on December 16th. Therefore, the Crestmont HOA is accepting donations up until December 15th, providing us with enough time to get the Christmas hampers to the drop of locations.

We will be accepting donations at the Hall during office hours Monday – Friday 9:30am -4:00pm. We will be asking each household that donates to fill out a small form with name, address and what is being donated. Please check our website for updates on what our adopted families need most this year.
