The Crestmont Homeowners’ Association is seeking a Park Monitor to oversee the local water spray park and tot lot. This is a part-time summer job that lends itself to someone who has had experience and enjoys working with children and the general public. Key duties will include: • Monitor activities at and general upkeep of the water spray park and tot lot. • Ensure that the facilities are used exclusively by Crestmont residents and keep attendance records. • Maintain a clean, safe and pleasant environment. • Act as a goodwill ambassador for park visitors. • Program and occasionally conduct events and games to attract and entertain users. The Park Monitor will work from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, three to five days per week depending on weather conditions. Some weekend work will be required. The job starts June 1 and concludes on September 5. The role calls for a conscientious, reliable person who can work without close supervision. A post-secondary student or other local resident might fit the requirement well. Work or volunteer experience with children and the general public is preferred. Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment.
